The Cardiff Festival is a summer of celebrations in the showcase of the best sports events, theater, live music, fun fair and entertainment for young people. The festival, created 21 years ago, is organized and presented by the Cardiff Council. The festival consists of small festivals ranging from July to August each year. Some most popular festivals that people are taking part in the International Food and Drink Festival in Cardiff, WOW on the promenade, Tesco Festival Children, Grand Admiral weekend in Cardiff, Wales and the Proms Festival Mermaid Quay and the port of Cardiff MAS Carnival.

Cardiff International Food and Drink Festival

The Food and Drink Cardiff International Festival was held in Cardiff Bay. The festival puts the focus on traditional Welsh cuisine. Lavabre, for example, is a favorite offering at the festival and is made of seaweed. Food and drink from around the world are offered as well. This festival offers a variety of options to satisfy even the most demanding food connoisseurs.

WOW on the promenade

WOW on the waterfront is a new addition to the party, introduced only in 2007. This is an outdoor show that offers outstanding street theater of the French theater company Plasticiens Volants street.

Tesco Children's Festival

Cardiff Festival also has something to offer young people and children through Tesco's children festival done on the ground behind Cooper, Cardiff Castle. This is a two-day event that includes fun activities such as interactive workshops, performances of circus, sports and music events and characters walk. Other popular events are the Hall of sheep and a mountain bike event.

Admiral Cardiff, Great weekend

The big weekend in Cardiff is the grand finale of the festival and has a great show that includes a fireworks display, concerts free music, United Kingdom, the largest traveling amusement park and the MAS Carnival. The live music performances led by three days and are held at the Admiral stage. The travel fair offers families fun activities that are sure to delight children and adults alike. Families should contact the Civic Center to enjoy the rides exciting and family activities. The MAS Carnival showcases elaborately designed costumes, dazzling and colorful masks and helmets and sunglasses for Carnival, like other giants.

Welsh Proms

Lloyds TSB Welsh Proms is a celebration that has been offered the symphony orchestra concerts, World Dance Music youth concerts and dances with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra of Welsh National Opera, Bournemouth Symphony and the Philharmonic Cardiff. Other activities for 2008 include Prom Festival for Children, Favorite Romantic Prom, Prom Russian Ballet, classics and Prom Prom Authority to appoint few.

Mermaid Quay, Cardiff Harbor Festival

The Mermaid Quay, Cardiff Harbor Festival is a family celebration, oriented around a nautical theme. Visitors can enjoy fun and entertainment that includes water activities, workshops, nautical music and a pirate costume contest.

Other Events are Everyman Open-Air Theater Festival which will stage an adaptation of Romeo and Juliet in the grounds of Cardiff Castle, Cardiff external action Show where visitors can participate in sports activities and exhibitions clock, the Fringe @ Cardiff Festival presentations offering of Bute Theater and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
