As NBC's Days of our offers life farewell to Billie Reed, actress Julie Pinson, a well known family, genus show is ready to make a grand entrance on the daytime drama. Academy Award Winner Shirley Jones, who is best known for playing a widowed mother of Shirley Partridge on The Partridge Family ABC, will have limited appearances on Days of Our Lives. In fact, she appeared on the agenda for the February sweeps period. Jones confirmed in a conversation with Variety.

"It's hard work," said Jones, Armand "Army" Archerd variety. "I did not want do, but I got more money than – "

Jones is required to speak with an Irish accent for the role, and therefore is the formation Robert Easton, a prominent dialect coach.

Having grown up in the entertainment industry, Jones has had a successful career, both appear screen and achievements of the stage. Her screen credits include films from Oklahoma! April Love, Carousel, Beyond the Poseidon Adventure and Genius funds, and the sample Monarch Cove, The Drew Carey Show, Burke's Law, and of course, The Partridge Family. As for his theater credits, she has Maggie Flynn, The Sound of Music and The King & I in his belt.

Turning the last days of our life project, Jones will play the role of Colleen Brady, the supposedly dead great aunt of Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney). Colleen history was initially shown to viewers through letters exchanged between her and Santo DiMera (played by James Scott in flashback scenes), an Italian businessman with whom she had a forbidden romance and tragic. It was initially presumed that Colleen died young, in spite yet how he died remains a mystery.

The network has yet to announce exactly when Pinson episodes will air, but Is supposed to appear in February, ending his season in March.
