drama korean movies

Japan Good / Korean movies / dramas that contain a large amount of everyday life?
Hi I would like suggestions on Japanese cinema or Korean that focus mainly on everyday life. I think the way of Japanese buildings and landscape looks very interesting and I think the way families running children grow up there and it is interesting also because it is very different from the U.S. Can anyone recommend some good movies or dramas? They can be serious or happy, I like to see stories centered around Japanese families or students. None of everyday life (new or old, even)
Korean drama's mother has grown horns / angry mom was a realistic drama, so I think fits what you are trying to find. was a very good drama too.

Riding in Cars with Boys (Special Edition)
$4.10 Riding in Cars with Boys achieves broad appeal as a tearjerker laced with hardscrabble humor. In the crowd-pleasing hands of director Penny Marshall, Beverly Donofrio's bestselling memoir loses much of its real-life gravity, but its rich humanity remains in abundance, especially since Drew Barrymore plays Donofrio with effortless charm. The movie spans 20 years, from Bev's pregnancy at 15 in 1963 ... |

Tightrope (Snap Case)
$4.66 The screenwriter of Escape from Alcatraz, Richard Tuggle, sold a second script to Clint Eastwood on the condition that he be allowed to direct it. The result is a near classic, a grim psycho-thriller set in New Orleans, which remains one of the star's boldest attempts to undercut his unshakable rock-bound image. It was interpreted by some critics as an exercise in self-exploration, although that ... |

M*A*S*H [VHS]
$0.99 It's set during the Korean War, in a mobile army surgical hospital. But no one seeing M*A*S*H in 1970 confused the film for anything but a caustic comment on the Vietnam War; this is one of the counterculture movies that exploded into the mainstream at the end of the '60s. Director Robert Altman had labored for years in television and sporadic feature work when this smash-hit comedy made his name ... |

Outbreak [VHS]
$0.99 When Warner Brothers was unable to secure the rights to Richard Preston's terrifying nonfiction book The Hot Zone (purchased by a rival studio), they took the basic idea of a fatal virus on the loose in the U.S., added Dustin Hoffman and director Wolfgang Petersen (Das Boot), and produced an unusual thriller--a surprise hit--called Outbreak. The other picture, slated to star Robert Redford and Jod... |

Manchurian Candidate [VHS]
$3.70 You will never find a more chillingly suspenseful, perversely funny, or viciously satirical political thriller than The Manchurian Candidate, based on the novel by Richard Condon (author of Winter Kills). The film, withheld from distribution by star Frank Sinatra for almost a quarter century after President Kennedy's assassination, has lost none of its potency over time. Former infantryman Bennet ... |
