"Pandorum" (my 0-10 rating: 6)
Genre: thriller, Sci-Fi
Director: Christian Alvart
Writer: Travis Milloy
Cast: Dennis Quaid, Ben Foster, Antje Traue
Duration: 1 hr., 48 min.
Rating: R (strong horror violence, Bloody Gore, vulgarity)

Intelligently conceived in his plot, "Pandorum" is yet sensually arrogant in their treatment.

The spacecraft exterior theme comes with the tumultuous clanging incessantly penetrating ultra high decibels, ringing and crashing to the distraction. The atmosphere is infinitely dark, intense hardcore, with the confrontation lethal of the word. The high-level anger and hostility stirred fierce climate of violence. Characters scream, grunt, groan and scream at each other, not always so enlightening. While that history does not justify itself in the long run, this does not resolve your incessant pounding possibly shipping outside the theater for some relief.

It is the year 2174 and dangerously overcrowded planet Earth has been completely decimated long ago by war and famine. So we opened a probe aboard the giant space ship Elysia. Two members of the awakening of a space crew unconscious. They are in hyper sleep chamber. It is dark.

Disoriented, have no memory anything, much less what it is supposed to be doing there or their own identities, except that their names are out Bower (Ben Foster), the smaller of the two, and Lt. Payton (Dennis Quaid). But now here's something yard lights dark and narrow, the only way out of the camera. So crawl inside Bower, while Lt. Payton guidance is behind the radio transmitter.

But soon, as Bower is deeper and deeper, he realizes the reality of fear. The two to discover that men are not alone in the boat. Not only are there other men on board with nefarious purposes, but also a woman (Antje Traue) and a series of cannibalistic murderer beasts.

And the ship does not work correctly.

It shall also learned that when the ship, almost a Noah's Ark, to the left of Earth, was 60,000 people on board, besides the reproductive material stored for countless species. Now, it seems, there is none left for humans. Do cannibals kill them all? Probably not. Because there is no evidence of an epidemic disease called Pandorum. Bower and Payton will learn that the ship is part of a space probe headed for Tanus, a planet with clean water, oxygen, abundant vegetation and, as you never knew that the Homo sapiens, hope for the future.

Now, on Pandorum revealed that it affects the brain. It is causing a paranoia that sends the behavior of individuals in a panic that may actually have caused the mutation into cannibals. Bower will have to somehow avoid Pandorum.

Each character is covered in dirt indoor space ship morbidly fascinating. Since the attack of the mutants and again, your blood curdle, especially when the baby mutant attack. The reason for the darkness can be unbearably depressing.

Dialogue is serviceably hostile, performances are above par, with Ben Foster exceptional.

I warn you again to prepare for this assault grinding, bombastic in their sensitivity. It is a film very well built out of anger deadly, care not his slavish in its darkness.

Rugrats is one of the hippest kids' shows around. With music by former Devo leader Mark Mothersbaugh, psychedelic Klasky-Csupo animation, and episodes like "Tricycle Thief" and "The Baby Vanishes," how could it be otherwise? And these tunes (mainly by Mothersbaugh) bridge demographics as nimbly as the show itself does. Rugrats fans of all ages will love Elvis Costello's "Throw My Toys Around" (per...

Although it's been three years since we last saw Bridget (Renée Zellweger), only a few weeks have passed in her world. She is, as you'll remember, no longer a "singleton," having snagged stuffy but gallant Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) at the end of the 2001 film.
